Terms of Service

1. The short version

TornHustler is a free, invite-only social platform for Torn City players, operated by Tesseract Corporation, LLC (a Wyoming limited liability company). By using TornHustler, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use it.

We don't charge anything. We don't sell your personal data. We don't share your Torn API key with anyone. We're not affiliated with Torn or its developers (Chedburn Studios).

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use TornHustler. Users in the European Union, United Kingdom, and other GDPR-applicable jurisdictions must be at least 16 years old, or have verified parental consent.
  • You must be a real human. Bots, automated signups, and accounts created by scripts are not permitted and will be removed.
  • You may only use TornHustler if doing so is legal in your jurisdiction.
  • You must have a valid recruit code from an existing TornHustler member. We do not have public signup.

3. Your account

  • You're responsible for keeping your password and Torn API key secure.
  • You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account.
  • If your account is compromised, contact us immediately at admin@tornhustler.com.
  • You may delete your account at any time via your account settings. Deletion removes your personal data subject to the limits explained in our Privacy Policy.

4. Your Torn API key

TornHustler requires a Torn API key to enable most features. By providing your key, you authorize TornHustler to make API calls to Torn on your behalf, limited to the selections (permissions) you granted when you created the key.

  • We will only request the minimum permissions required for the features you use. Our public commitment to this is documented in our API Permissions Policy.
  • We will never request your battle stats, cash, net worth, or private message contents.
  • API keys are stored encrypted in our database. Only the last four characters are ever shown back to you.
  • You can revoke TornHustler's access at any time by deleting the key in your Torn preferences page. Revocation is immediate.
  • You agree not to share other users' API keys, scrape, or attempt to access data on behalf of users who haven't authorized it.

5. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation, or any of Torn's terms of service or third-party tool guidelines.
  • Harass, threaten, dox, or impersonate other users.
  • Post content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, sexually explicit, or that promotes violence against any group.
  • Upload malware, attempt to exploit security vulnerabilities, or interfere with the operation of the service.
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from TornHustler beyond what's intended.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to circumvent any security measures.
  • Use TornHustler to coordinate attacks on Torn's infrastructure or to bypass Torn's own anti-cheat / rate-limit protections.
  • Misuse the recruit code system — selling codes, generating fake accounts, or distributing codes in bulk to gain unfair influence.
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit TornHustler without our written permission.

Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination at our discretion.

6. Your content

You retain all rights to the content you post on TornHustler — wall posts, photos, comments, group descriptions, etc.

By posting content, you grant TornHustler a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, store, reproduce, and process that content solely for the purpose of operating the service. This license terminates when you delete the content (with the limited exception of content already shared into chat threads or comments, where deletion would break conversation context — see our Privacy Policy for the specifics).

You represent that you have the right to post any content you upload, and that doing so doesn't violate anyone else's rights (copyright, privacy, etc.).

7. Moderation

TornHustler reserves the right to remove content, suspend accounts, or take other moderation action at our discretion, with or without notice, when content or behavior violates these terms or harms the community.

We are not obligated to monitor user content, but we may do so. We're not responsible for content posted by users.

8. Service availability and modifications

TornHustler is provided "as is" and "as available" with no guarantee of uptime, accuracy, or reliability. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time without notice.

We make no warranties regarding the accuracy of data sourced from Torn's API, the availability of the service, or the suitability of TornHustler for any particular purpose. Game-related decisions you make based on TornHustler data (e.g., trading, attack targets, faction strategy) are your own.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TORNHUSTLER IS PROVIDED WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TESSERACT CORPORATION, LLC, ITS OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND CONTRACTORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, GOODWILL, OR IN-GAME ASSETS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF TORNHUSTLER.

OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00 USD).

Some jurisdictions don't allow exclusions of certain warranties or limitations on certain liabilities; in those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tesseract Corporation, LLC and its representatives from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of:

  • Your use of the service in violation of these Terms;
  • Content you post that infringes someone else's rights;
  • Your violation of any law or third party's rights.

12. Third-party services

TornHustler integrates with Torn's public API and uses third-party service providers (Brevo for email delivery, Cloudflare for DNS, DigitalOcean for hosting). Their terms and privacy practices apply to data they handle on our behalf. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Links to third-party sites or tools (such as Greasy Fork userscripts, other Torn community tools) are provided for convenience. We're not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.

13. Affiliation

TornHustler is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected with Torn or Chedburn Studios. "Torn" is a trademark of its respective owners. TornHustler operates as an independent third-party companion platform, consistent with Torn's published guidelines for third-party tools.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.

Disputes shall first be attempted in good-faith informal negotiation by emailing admin@tornhustler.com. Unresolved disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration in Wyoming under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.

You agree to bring claims only in your individual capacity, not as a class action plaintiff or member. If this class waiver is unenforceable, the entire arbitration agreement is unenforceable.

If you reside in the European Union, United Kingdom, or other jurisdiction with mandatory consumer-protection laws, the protections of your local jurisdiction apply where they cannot be waived by contract.

15. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for violations of these Terms or for any reason at our sole discretion.

Sections 4 (API key handling), 6 (license to your content), 9-12 (disclaimers, liability, indemnification), and 14 (governing law) survive termination.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we'll notify registered users by email and post a notice on the site at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
